CHILD, ADOLESCENT AND FAMILY OUTPATIENT THERAPY
Promoting the mental health and well-being of children, youth and families in our community is one of our most important goals.
We value a team approach that provides various coordinated services, including individual, family and group therapy, substance abuse counseling, and psychiatric
evaluation and medication. Through these services, children and families build new coping skills and develop more effective ways to solve problems and communicate with others.
CHILDREN'S INTENSIVE SERVICES (CIS)
CIS is a short term, Ritecare/Medicaid funded, family-focused program providing psychiatric, clinical and case management services for children with severe
emotional and behavioral disorders. The program also offers an array of community resources and services to at-risk children and their families. Goals are realized
through effective collaboration and planning with families, schools, and other community resources.
CHILD AND FAMILY INTESIVE TREATMENT PROGRAM (CFIT)
CFIT is short-term, up to 10 weeks, intensive family-focused treatment for children
who have Blue Cross or United Health insurance. Families receive 6 hours a week of family, group and individual therapy. They are also evaluated by the child
psychiatrist. There is collaboration with schools and other providers and linkages to other community resources.
CHILD AND ADOLESCENT SERVICE SYSTEM PROGRAM (CASSP)
Designed as a family-centered, community-based program for children and
adolescents with behavioral and emotional problems, CASSP helps families find the resources they need so they can keep their children at home. CASSP coordinates
community planning team meetings where families and various community professionals build upon and encourage the child's strengths.
ADOLESCENT ADDICTION SERVICES
When drug and alcohol problems begin to affect daily life, our adolescent outpatient intervention and prevention programs are designed to help overcome addictive
behavior and to promote strategies for recovery. We offer office-based individual and family therapy to adolescents struggling with addiction. We also serve as a
comprehensive community resource for information about alcohol and other drugs and offer educational programs that provide positive alternatives to East Bay
residents with the goal of building resilient youth, healthy individuals and strong families.
