INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM & PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION PROGRAM
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) utilize similar therapy and treatment models, but are conducted in varying
degrees of intensity and duration, depending upon the individual client.
Both programs are considered "short term treatment" – usually three (3) weeks or
less and are focused on stabilization, skill acquisition, and crises management. PHP operates five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30
p.m. IOP operates three (3) days per week, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The programs also provide focused skills and counseling to those individuals in need
of substance abuse treatment and services. Specific educational Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for co-occurring disorders is a skills-focused program,
which targets thought processes and symptom management, while enhancing coping skill capabilities, which result in decreased symptoms and improved over-all
functioning. It is a treatment program that has been shown to improve people's ability to stay present in the moment, tolerate intense emotions, manage their
emotions effectively, and enhance the overall quality of their relationships. Formal substance abuse evaluations using recognized, standardized testing materials are
available. The testing, report, and recommendations are performed and billed separately from the programs. CHILD, ADOLESCENT, ADULT, AND FAMILY OUTPATIENT THERAPY Promoting the mental health and well-being of children, youth, adults, and families
in our community is one of our most important goals. We value a team approach that provides various coordinated services, including individual, family and group
therapy, substance abuse counseling, and psychiatric evaluation and medication. Through these services, children and families build new coping skills and develop
more effective ways to solve problems and communicate with others.
CHILD AND ADOLESCENT INTENSIVE TREATMENT SERVICES (CAITS) CAITS is a short term, Ritecare/Medicaid funded, family-focused program providing
psychiatric, clinical and case management services for children with severe emotional and behavioral disorders. The program also offers an array of community
resources and services to at-risk children and their families. Goals are realized through effective collaboration and planning with families, schools, and other community resource.
CHILD AND FAMILY INTENSIVE TREATMENT PROGRAM (CFIT)
CFIT is short-term, up to 10 weeks, intensive family-focused treatment for children who have Blue Cross or United Health insurance. Families receive 6 hours a week of
family, group and individual therapy. They are also evaluated by the child psychiatrist. There is collaboration with schools and other providers and linkages to other community resources.
ADDICTION SERVICES When drug and alcohol problems begin to affect daily life, our adolescent and adult
outpatient intervention and prevention programs are designed to help overcome addictive behavior and to promote strategies for recovery. We offer office-based
individual and family therapy. We also serve as a comprehensive community resource for information about alcohol and other drugs and offer educational
programs that provide positive alternatives to East Bay residents with the goal of building resilient youth, healthy individuals, and strong families.
ELDER SERVICES Our Elder Services staff responds with compassion, dignity and respect, to
homebound East Bay older adults (age 60 and over) in need of mental health services by providing advocacy, problem solving, resource brokerage/linkage,
stabilization, psychopharmacology and support. Our staff works closely with other providers of senior services to ensure the safety and security of older adults living
independently within our community. We also work diligently to involve family members and primary caretakers in the treatment planning process.
SUBOXONE CLINIC To provide Suboxone detoxification and maintenance to those clients who are opioid dependent. Adults 18 years or older.
VOCATIONAL SERVICES
We offer an array of vocational services to clients who seek assistance in achieving their career and educational goals.
VIOLENCE RECOVERY SERVICES The Violence Recovery Program (VRP) was developed in response to an identified
need in RI and is geared to assist Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning and Intersex (LGBTQQI) survivors of domestic violence, hate crimes,
sexual assault, and/or police interaction with stabilization and safety from immediate harm. Clients will be guided through a recovery model to restore
optimum functioning to bring about a positive change to their daily lives.
ASPERGER SYNDROME SERVICES An effective treatment program for children and adults suffering from this neurological condition of the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) starts with an
assessment by one of our clinicians, and possibly an evaluation by one of our psychiatrists. Specialized groups build on the individual's interests, offer a
predictable schedule, teach tasks as a series of simple steps, actively engage the individual's attention in highly structured activities, and provide regular reinforcement of behavior..
